Abstract
|

|
The influence of weight bearing across long bones and muscle strengthening exercises on urinary calcium metabolism of patients with 11 cases of quadriplegia due to cervical spinal cord injury were examed from March 1980 to October 1982 at Korea Veterans Hospital.
The results were as follow;
1) Weight bearing across long bones in quadriplegia decreased hypercalciuria significantly.
2) The early group of patients had a sharper decrease of hypercalciuria than late group.
3) Muscle strengthening exercise did not have nearly as great an effect.
